Boys' Basketball - Winter

2012-2013 | History | Contact

The PAISAA Basketball championship is contested in February, at the end of the regular season. Begun in 2007, the tournament usually includes teams from the Inter-Ac, the Friends School League, the MAPL, the Tri-County League, as well as some independent schools. The first two rounds are played on campus, with the higher seed serving as the host.

Semi-finals and finals are held at a neutral site, with the boys’ and the girls’ tournament alternating on the same floor. This year’s Final Four will be contested at Penn State Brandywine. The boys’ trophy has been won by ANC (twice), and Friends' Central the last three seasons (2009, 2010, and 2011). The girls’ tournament has been dominated by Notre Dame (2007 and 2008) and Germantown Academy (2009, 2010, and 2011).
